HRC and Youth Advocates Across the Nation to Host Readings of "I Am Jazz"
HRC is planning to host readings nationwide on April 28 of the book "I Am Jazz" written by Jazz Jennings, a transgender teen and activist. The goal is to continue to spread the message of love and acceptance taught in this book to families and youth across the country.
We have two reading locations in Chicago:
Where: Women & Children First - 5233 N. Clark St. Chicago, IL 60640
When: Thursday, April 28 @ 7pm
Read By: Searah Deysach - Mother of a transgender child and owner of Early to Bed, FtM Essentials and TransKids
Where: Merlo branch of the Chicago Public Library - 644 W. Belmont St. Chicago, IL 60657
When: Tuesday, May 2 @ 6pm
Their auditorium, which seats around 125 people, is available on Monday, May 2 for a reading at 6:00.
All are welcome to attend any of our reading sites. And, you can also host your own reading!
